Blogger Me Nam, Binh Nhi and Sea Free arrested for Propagating Human Rights Documents


Danlambao - Nha Trang. At around 17.00, blogger Nguyen Ngoc Nhu Quynh (aka. Me Nam Gau) was arrested by the police while she was distributing copies of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights and balloons with human rights logo to passerby. Other friends of hers, blogger Nguyen Tien Nam (aka. Binh Nhi) and blogger Pham Van Hai (aka Sea Free) were also detained. Hai was arrested while standing nearby with Quynh’s ID card in his hand.

The three were taken to PA92 police station in Nha Trang city for interrogation.

Updates:

- 12:10 am - Wednesday: blogger Me Nam was released from the police station.

- 11:00 am blogger Pham Van Hai was also arrested by police and held at an unknown location.


- 09:40 pm, a source said about 30 minutes ago, blogger Binh Nhi - Nguyen Tien Nam was transferred to police headquarters of Khanh Hoa province locates at 80 Tran Phu street, Loc Tho ward, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa Province. Phone number: (058)3527060.

- Meanwhile, Khanh Hoa police has refused blogger Me Nam’s request to see and to take care of her  6-month-old son. The baby had a high fever and is under the care of family members.
