Know yourself and your enemy (Part 3): Factors of the Struggle - Conclusion

4) Methods of execution: The CC is stronger than the DC in the short term, but will be weakened in the long term.

The methods of execution of the CC include: brainwashing, fraud, brutality, despicable and wicked tricks, hypocracy, and demagogy. In the Vietnam War, the CC used vicious and cruel methods, terrorized the South Vietnamese, defrauded the intellectuals, divided the people, cadres, and officials of South Vietnam, and deceived the North Vietnamese people with appeals to patriotism and brotherly love (See, for example, Cao-Đắc 2014a, 379-380; Harrington 1982, 192, 264; Trần 2013a). After the war, the CC continued using brainwashing and fraudulent techniques and succeeded significantly in corrupting the minds of the people, especially the young generation, with fabricated glories of Hồ Chí Minh, Võ Nguyên Giáp, and other communist leaders, in order to create trust in the VCP (See, for example Trần 2013b). These deceptions and fabricated glories have been exposed and widely disseminated (See, for example, Bút 2013; Cao-Đắc 2014b; Đặng 2012; Đặng 2013a-2013b; Huỳnh 2014; Phùng 2010).

The CC continues to deceive many foreign scholars by churning out historical documents that are fabricated, exaggerated, truth-hiding, or erroneous. It employs domestic scholars as slaves to paint a saintly image of Hồ Chí Minh and to embellish accomplishments of the VCP. In parallel with these ploys, the CC oppresses the DC and the people with violence and arrests, or by imprisoning the dissidents and anyone who fights for human rights, freedom, and democracy. Government officials are hypocrites, saying one thing but doing another, and constantly use misleading language to deceive the people. It uses police, public security agents, civil employees, and disguised security agents to threaten, beat, or coerce democracy activists. These methods, though effective in the short term, cannot succeed in the long term because the people become more and more knowledgeable about the current affairs of the country and the government deception thanks to mass media and civil social organizations. Moreover, there is a limit for brutality. When being overly oppressed, the people and the domestic DC will eventually explode and rise up.

The majority of the DC does not use the CC’s evil and despicable tricks because such actions are against righteousness. DC members also have a tendency to play a passive role, being on the defense more than on the attack. The domestic DC, without a physical power, has to accept using non-violence to protest. A minority cannot face the abundant ranks of the security forces because all peaceful demonstrations are easily crushed. People of the domestic DC, whether men or women, old or young, are usually harassed, followed, accused unfairly, illegally detained, ambushed or beaten by the CS, especially when they venture out alone.

Most importantly, because they serve the righteous cause and democracy, the DC activists, domestic or overseas, oppose frauds with eloquent and persuasive reasonings and counter-arguments, using proper documents and materials to expose the cover-ups, frauds, and crooked maneuvers of the CC. In contrast, “[w]eak logic, inconsistencies and alienation from the people are common features of authoritarianism” (Aung San 2010, 175). In the short term, the DC may be labeled by the CC as “reactionaries,” trouble makers bought by hostile forces, or those who wash their linen in public. But as time passes, when the truths are eventually exposed, the DC’s methods will succeed.

At the present time, the DC has not unified their methods of execution. There are many debates about the best ways to deal with the CC, solutions for the current situation in Vietnam, and the communist China problem (See, for example, Bảo 2014; Nguoiduatin 2014a, 2014b; Nguyễn 2014; Nguyễn 2012; Trần Trung Đạo 2014). These debates are very important in creating the natural localized interactions. It does not matter who is right or wrong as long as there are interactions. These debates contribute to the formation of an unexpected emergence with a power that nobody presently in the DC or CC can foresee or imagine. The important point is that the more participants join in the debate, whether from the DC or the CC, the more the localized interactions will spread out.

The DC needs to be more pro-active in the struggle and disseminate the ideals and objectives of the fight for freedom, democracy and human rights to all walks of life in Vietnam, but especially to the young people. The DC does not need to wait for an event or an important incident and respond to it. The fight against the CC has to be continuous with increasing magnitude in all aspects: ideology, politics, economy, history, culture, and society. The war between the DC and the CC is not one between the strong (the CC) and the weak (the DC), but one in which the righteous (the DC) punishes the illegitimate (the CC). The DC should be aware of the CC’s tricks to divide, penetrate into the ranks, cause troubles, and make slanderous attacks, but should not allow these tricks to compromise the power of the common ideals.

According to the CAS model applied to the war beteen the CC and the DC as proposed above, there are two important factors: (1) common ideal and objectives; and (2) natural localized interactions. To succeed effectively, these two factors must be positively developed and maintained.

The DC must actively disseminate their ideals and objectives to the entire population:

Regarding the common ideals and objectives, the DC must focus all efforts on the dissemination of the ideal about freedom, democracy, and human rights to all walks of life in Vietnam. There are many opinions saying that it’s futile to disseminate democratic theories to the Vietnamese people because a majority of them does not appreciate or need these theories. I think this observation is not accurate. Presently, the majority of the VN people perhaps need money more than anything else, but they do not need money urgently. Compared to previous generations, the Vietnamese people now know how to prepare for the future more. They take care of their children, send them to schools, or prepare them to have good jobs. The young generation is the same. They think about their future more than their counterparts in 1945. The number of educated people is also higher. There may be some who are still influenced by the CC’s brainwashing and indoctrination, but most can ignore it. The financial investment activities in the stock market, businesses, real estate, life insurance, and other financial segments, while still small, reflect the trend of planning for the future by the current generation. It is the concerns about the future that show that the Vietnamese people now pay more and more attention to economy and politics. Aiming right at this attention is hitting at the power of the people. Since freedom, democracy, and human rights have a huge impact on the people’s personal economy, dissemination of information about these issues surely is not futile.

Freedom, democracy, and human rights are directly related to economy:

A political regime greatly influences the life of the citizens, the culture, and civilization (Chu 2014). A regime respecting freedom and democracy helps its people advance, achieve a high cultural level, and fits well in world communities. In particular, the connection between freedom, democracy and economy has been clearly established. There is concrete evidence showing that policies that promote increases in personal income also promote human rights (Sykes 2003, 8). Conversely, there are studies and theories showing that freedom is the engine that promotes a stable economy and increases in wealth for everybody everywhere (Kim 2007). Accordingly, the DC needs to explain to people about the relationship between freedom, democracy, human rights and economy.

This direct relationship is not yet fully appreciated by the entire population. Many people, especially the young people and college students, are still indifferent to the fight for freedom, democracy, and human rights. They don’t care about the arrests or imprisonments of the democracy activists. After 70 years of domination, the CC has succeeded in converting a fair number of people into people who are selfish, only thinking about their own materialistic lives. They do not realize that without freedom, democracy, and human rights for everyone, they won’t have much materialistic benefit. Furthermore, even if they may have decent means to make a living at the present time, there is no guarantee that their children or grandchildren will enjoy the same quality of life under the governance of the CC.

Therefore, the DC needs to concretize these concepts. For example, the DC must point out that world economic superpowers will hesitate to invest in Vietnam if Vietnam does not respect freedom, democracy and human rights for its citizens. It’s not because these countries care so much about the Vietnamese people, but they don’t want their own interests to be threatened when the government does not respect its own citizens. With a puppet judicial system in Vietnam, how can foreign companies believe that they can be protected in disputes with the Vietnamese government or private parties? Another example is that when freedom and democracy are established in Vietnam, the tourist industry will prosper tremendously. The Overseas Vietnamese (OV) will visit Vietnam more often and spend more generously. They will also increase sending money to their relatives and friends, and help the poor, the sick, and victims of natural disasters. Moreover, the democratic regime will encourage the OV to return to Vietnam for long-term stays for activities such as retirement, and investment in commerce, real estate, and the stock market. With a population of four million having a high standard of living, the OV will contribute significantly to the Vietnamese economy once the tyrant communist regime collapses and is replaced by a free and democratic regime.

In addition, the younger generation must show to the world that they are energetic, are independent thinkers, and do not stupidly and blindly obey the government. The young people in Vietnam must realize that Western companies prefer independent spirit, the ability to think outside the box, and the ambition to advance professionally. That spirit is expressed through original creation, the ability to stand up fighting for fairness and justice, and being unintimidated by violence. Let the economic superpowers find a miracle to help them turn revolutionary ideas into competitive products. The Vietnamese young people represent a large and most promising workforce in the world that can create that unexpected miracle. Lee Kwan Yew, former Prime Minister of Singapore, once said (Yew 2013, 194),

“The Vietnamese are among the most capable and energetic people in Southeast Asia. Their students who come to Singapore on Asian scholarships are serious about their studies and score the highest grades. With people of such intelligence, it is a real pity that they are falling short of their potential.”

Yew has seen the talents and potential of the Vietnamese young people. The question is whether these young people in Vietnam will recognize their own talents and potential.

Freedom, democracy, and human rights are of concern to the international communities:

A basic point that many Vietnamese people do not appreciate is that issues of freedom, democracy, and human rights in Vietnam are directly related to the international communities. This is a very important point because Vietnam is desperately in need of assistance from the free democratic powers in every aspect, political, diplomatic, military to economic, social. The events of communist China invading Vietnamese waters and installing the oil rig HD 981 further emphasize this importance. The United States is one powerful ally that can help Vietnam get out of the current diplomatic, military, and economical quagmire. However, to allow the U.S. and other free democratic powers to intervene, the Vietnamese people must let them know that their human rights are being crushed by the CC and request help.

The U.S. and other free democratic powers do not pay any attention to the issues of social vices in Vietnam, such as the victims of unjust compensation, corruption, and other social evils, because these are issues internal to every country. However, if there are violations of human rights, then it is certain that other democracies will intervene because human rights issues are issues of international concern, not just of a particular nation.

The DC must help people to eliminate fear:

Regarding natural localized interactions, the “natural” aspect needs to be developed. Under the current situation, the natural characteristics of the localized interactions have either not been maintained or have been weakened significantly. That is because the CC has had so much time to control the people thanks to extraordinary luck and external influences that went beyond the limits of the system. To recover this natural characteristic, the DC must undo the disadvantageous consequences that the CC has imposed on the people. One of these disadvantageous consequences is fear. The DC must find ways to eliminate the fear of the CC in the minds of the VN people (Kim 2013). At the same time with the dissemination of its ideal and objectives, the DC must initiate a campaign to educate the people and appeal to those who are indifferent to the struggle, especially the intellectual young prople like college students, to abolish fear. The DC must point out that it is the CC who fears the people and not the people fearing the CC.

The DC must know how to attract elements in the CC to its side:

Not only is the campaign aimed at the people (especially the young generation) but also the CC, including those who are hesitating to change sides. These people will not hesitate if they know for sure that the DC will win. Therefore, the DC has to persuade those factions in the CC that the DC will certainly win in order to pull them to its side. Many are on the CC’s side, not because they follow the CC’s ideals, but because they want to be left alone and they think the CC is still strong, and will remain so, at least in their lifetime. There may also be people who are afraid of being revenged by the DC if it wins, so they help the CC as long as they can. In fact, it is the CC’s leadership that uses this strategy to keep these people on their side. It may spread propaganda or hint that if the DC wins, the DC will consolidate its government and select people having real talents. Accordingly, those pretentious intellects, incompenent officials, cowardly police and security officers get panicked, and even become more loyal to the CC to protect their own jobs or positions.

The DC needs to know this psychology to operate more effectively. Of course the DC can’t deceive and give empty promises, and they have to tell the truth to the CC’s elements. But the truth is not that bad from the CC’s point of view. True, you can’t claim you have a Ph.D degree when that degree is bought. Indeed, you can’t take bribes while doing your job. But you don’t need a Ph.D degree (as encouraged indirectly by the CC) to be a village chief or an elected official. You don’t need to take bribes if you receive a high salary for your good work, serving the people suitably. A democratic regime is fair, treats everybody equally, and pays you for what you do, not for what you claim you have done.

Use violence against violence?

One of the hottest debates among the democracy groups is whether to use non-violence or violence (Trần Duy Sơn 2014; Vũ 2014). A minority in the DC wants an eye for an eye, meaning using the CC’s own tricks to deal with the CC. Many people in the DC believe it’s a wrong strategy because a righteous cause needs to be promoted by righteous means. Using evil tricks cannot achieve the righteous ideals and objectives, and even weakens its power. However, it’s hard to judge the righteous or moral nature of a method of execution. There are many theories or philosophical thoughts about this subject.

In reality, this minority in the DC does not need any of those philosophical or moral theories. To them, the CC can’t be fixed, and it’s necessary to use violence against violence. The people have suffered for too long, and they are fed up with the failures of the non-violent approaches. However, when rallying to use violence against violence, the violent group of the DC commits a fundamental mistake: they inherently recognize the legitimacy of the CC’s institution and put themselves at the same level of legitimacy of the CC. As analyzed above, the nature of the DC’s struggle is for the people to oppose the bandits who usurped the legitimate power and to demand back things that have been taken by the CC. Therefore, the CC cannot be at the same level of legitimacy with the DC. When a robber enters your home, kills your parents or siblings, or instigates your brothers and sisters to kill each other, and steals your property, you don’t call your act of fighting against that robber an act of “using violence against violence.” You will call your act “revenge” or “punishment of a criminal.” If the CC is criminal, as proved by history, then this group’s rallying cry is not “using violence against violence,” but “using discipline to punish a criminal.” Discipline, by itself, serves righteousness because it brings order for proper human conducts and society. Punishment, even physical, is not violence, but is serving justice. The question is whether it is necessary to use physical force to carry out the punishment of the criminals. In addition, justice must be served in a democractic spirit, and cannot be one-sided; otherwise, justice will be abused, like the CC did and is doing.

To the people living in the South, the plunder committed by the CC is very clear and concrete, even to those who were born after 1975. To the Northerners, especially those who were born after 1945, it’s hard for them to recognize this plundering nature because it took place in a period of uncertainty, when the world had just recovered from a terrifying world war and the Vietnamese people didn’t clearly distinguish friends from foes. In addition, the CC grabbed the golden opportunity and used evil and fraudulent ploys to cover up its plundering nature. Therefore, many Northerners, while recognizing the CC’s vices, still have not realized that these vices do not just come from the current leadership, but also originate from the CC at the beginning of its seizing power. Therefore, in debates among the groups in the DC, the main subject is not which methods of execution to use, but agreeing to the nature and the ideals and objectives of the struggle. Once this question is answered, the issue of using particular strategies is no longer important.

Everyone in the DC should contribute according to his/her abilities:

Together with the task of disseminating the ideal and objectives, everybody in the DC should continue contributing to the struggle using his or her own abilities. Don’t be afraid that these activities might be scattered, are without coordination, and sometimes may contradict each other, perhaps even leading to failure. In fact, it is the variety of activities that gives the DC the powerful force. The fundamental reason is that all activities have a common ideal and they interact naturally with one another.

If you have participated in protests and demonstrations, continue doing so. If you promote non-violence, then follow the basic principles of non-violent protests. One thing that you absolutely don’t do is carry anything representative of the CC, especially the red flag with the yellow star. Nothing is more foolish than using the symbol of the CC as a slogan for the demonstration against the CC. Don’t carry the red flag with the yellow star. Don’t wear a red shirt with the yellow star. Don’t carry anything having the repulsive red color. The red flag with the yellow star is not the national flag of Vietnam and is only the flag of the VCP (see, for example, Dân 2012).

You should record the demonstration with pictures, video clips and disseminate them to the public, contacting and informing foreign press or diplomatic agencies. You can protest at any crowded place, or main areas such as public parks, squares, embassies, markets, schools, administrative or commercial facilities. You can walk or ride motorcycles. The demonstration may be big, small, medium, mobile, or stationary.

If you want to stage a violent protest or a peaceful demonstration, using violence against violence for self defense, then you should prepare carefully and not cause problems for people who want non-violence. Do not let the CC use this issue to divide the DC. However, you should understand that violent demonstrations usually are not effective because the CC has more manpower and is equipped with weapons, police cars, shields and handcuffs, which puts you at a disadvantage.

One important point is that you should not overly focus on populated cities for the demonstration. Demonstration is a manifest of the people’s demands; therefore, most any location is appropriate. One major disadvantage in large cities like Hà Nội or Sài Gòn is that the CC has a huge police and security force. In small cities or villages, there are fewer police and security agents; therefore, the suppression does not cause much damage. Furthermore, when a boisterous demonstration success in small cities or remote villages is publicized through images or video clips on social media, the people’s spirit will be heightened, and it will stimulate people in large cities, resulting in a chain effect. The demonstrations will become a chain of activities that compete with one another.

You can be creative in organizing demonstrations or protests against the CC using techniques or methods that have been applied in other countries. In particular, because the people’s voice relies on the number of people, you can use communications means for the public mass such as mobile telephones, Facebook, and Twitter to rally the people. A currently popular concept is smart mobs. “Smart mobs consist of people who are able to act in concert even if they don't know each other” (Rheingold 2002, xii). The "People Power II" smart mobs in Manila who overthrew the presidency of President Estrada n 2001 organized demonstrations by forwarding text messages via cell phones (Rheingold 2002, xvii). Using "swarming" strategies,"[i]ndividual members of each group remained dispersed until mobile communications drew them to converge on a specific location from all directions simultaneously, in coordination with other groups" (Rheingold 2002, 162).

If you do not want non-violent protests, and want violent activities, or more accurately, punishing the criminals, then go ahead and continue or start those activities. Nobody can stop you, but you must understand the consequences of what you do. It is imperative that you cannot commit acts that are considered terrorist, causing damage to, or loss of, property or human life.

If you are a blogger, continue posting blogs expressing your opinions opposing the CC. You can write about any topics, not necessarily politics or history, as long as these topics are related to the values of freedom, democracy, or human rights, and the evilness and plunder of the CC.

If you are an on-line commentator, continue posting your comments. Don’t think that writing comments is a waste of time. You can fight directly or indirectly by writing your comments. You should maintain a democratic spirit in every debate on public forum; respecting others’ opinions, and remembering that the anonymous nature of the virtual world does not allow you to become a rude person, cursing and using profanity. You fight the CC by doing things that the CC dares not do, or does not have the ability to do. One of these things is to keep your self respect and respect the democratic spirit in debates. When the young people read your comments, they will see your character through the way you write. If you keep your self respect and respect the democratic spirit, even in a virtual world, they will respect you, and realize the differences between the DC and the CC. You can win the hearts of a few, a dozen, a hundred, and even thousands of people, in the DC and the CC, simply by your manners on the net, without you knowing about it.

If you are a parent, a brother, or a sister, you can teach your children or younger siblings the proper history and culture of the Vietnamese people. You should teach your children or younger siblings the values of freedom, democracy, and human rights and encourage them to stand up to fight for these rights. You should not use their security or future to sacrifice the truth or to defend your inaction in the struggle (Havel 1990). Your children will never resent you for teaching them the right things, truths, and courage.

If you are busy and do not have time for demonstration, activities, posting blogs, writing comments, disseminating ideals, meetings, then at least you should contribute in some way. If you have some spare money, or just want to contribute, you can contribute financially to democratic non-profit organizations, either existing ones or those that will be established.

People in the DC should not be discouraged or anxious waiting for an important event to take place. They must understand that they are operating in a very complex system. They may be alone, but not lonely. The fighters in the virtual world of the Internet should not think that they are the only fighters in the struggle. At any time, at any place, people like them are fighting, with a high probability that they are their comrades who are fighting to re-take what was taken by the CC.

5) Unity: Under this factor, both sides have strong and weak points with various magnitudes.

The CC, though having internal frictions, unites in the suppression of the DC. This unity, however, is only temporarily effective because it is not based on the enthusiastic faith in the communist regime or socialism, but only based on the protection of self-interests. That unity will be destroyed sooner or later. Adrian Rogers, a well-known Southern Baptist pastor once said, “It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error.” Using personal benefits to appeal for unity can only have temporary success. When these self interests are infringed, or are not distributed equally, there will be unhappiness and whistle-blowing. Those who serve the CC because of self-interests will be ready to betray it if these self-interests are threatened.

The factions in the CC, though they dislike each other, know clearly that the DC is their bigger enemy. Therefore, they temporarily put aside their differences and cooperate with each other in putting down the DC. However, this cooperation has a limit. When there is an external event that harms their self-interests, like the Chinese deployment of the oil rig HD 981 in Vietnamese waters, the level of division in the CC becomes intensified. Thereafter, there may be an internal re-organization, which could create an opportunity for the DC to attack furiously.

Groups in the DC share the same ultimate objective to bring freedom and democracy to the country. In theory, this ultimate objective should bring about a solid unity. However, in reality, that ultimate objective is often blurred by secondary objectives that create serious divisions inside the DC. In addition, a small group of people in the DC, though well educated and having opportunities to study and investigate, are still influenced by the brainwashing indoctrination and the deceptive ploys of the CC, or don’t want to admit their past mistakes. They are still nostalgic about the past, especially maintaining the admiration or affection for those who are glorified by the CC like Hồ Chí Minh and Võ Nguyên Giáp. These people will lose the chance to hold key roles in the democractic movement because others will have doubts about their ability to understand things, their sense of responsibility, and their courage when they could study and learn about the truths that have been exposed and admit their own past mistakes. It is these differences that weaken the common will in the theory of CAS as presented above and lengthen the struggle to reach success.

The DC needs to positively unite tightly to serve its ideals and supreme objectives. The DC needs to be reminded that it cannot go against its own ideals and noble objectives. It’s the respect for freedom and democratic spirit that is crucial to maintain. It cannot allow debates on secondary objectives to impede its activities. When democracy is established in Vietnam and freedom of speech is respected, then people can freely argue about other objectives. During the struggle, differences in ideas can still be raised in a democratic spirit but should not harm the ideals and the supreme objectives. The DC should also be aware of the CC who used and is using divisive tricks to create confusion, suspicion, and envy among the anti-communist ranks.

Summary on the factors:

Among the above five factors, the ideals and objectives factor plays the most important role because it affects all other factors. This factor determines who the winner is. Other factors will determine how and when the struggle is ended.

Under the ideals and objectives factor, the DC will certainly win because the DC has righteousness in its hand and righteousness always wins. The force of the people is the ultimate force because the territory belongs to the people. The righteous cause serves the entire people because it fights for the basic people’s rights and it is consistent with the people’s way of life.

One reality guarantees the DC’s victory. It’s the global stability. This global stability permeates all components in the system; that is to say all components in the system enjoy the common ideals. Freedom, democracy, and human rights are things that everybody wants, including the CC. However, as has been pointed out, the CC only wants those benefits for themselves, and won’t share them with the people. Therefore, the global stability cannot be obtained from the CC because if it wins there will be a large population without these benefits. In contrast, if the DC wins, everybody has these benefits, including the CC, and therefore the system attains the global stability.

Other factors will help accelerate the DC’s victory. The CC’s leadership will disintegrate quickly because of frictions within the VCP. The Chinese deployment of oil rigs in Vietnamese waters will create internal division and the CC leaders further reveal their true face of being cowardly to the enemy while brutal to the people. The groups in the DC will join hands more tightly and will create a wave of protests that spread all over the country. The international community will support the democratic movement in Vietnam to bring balance and stability to the East Sea. The CC will lose its power and its force is weakened. The force of the DC becomes more and more potent and more united. Sooner or later, the CC’s police and public security will show its vulnerability. The Vietnamese people will be reminded of the hollowness of the French basis of power in 1945 (Logeval 2012, 71) when, for decades, twenty-three million Vietnamese had been controlled by a mere force of twelve thousand French soldiers plus perhaps three or four times as many native troops (ibid., 72). The DC, with the ingenuity of the Vietnamese people, will devise more and more clever ways to fight the CC. More and more people will become involved in the democratic movement because they will realize that their own interests will be fully served by the the DC.

In summary, in the present struggle in Vietnam, it is certain that the DC will win because: (1) its ideals and objectives have righteousness and are consistent with the people’s way of living, and (2) only the DC can bring about global stability.

After the Vietnam War, the CC took pride in winning power after April 30, 1975. However, in reality, it was a victory obtained by pure luck (for example, the anti-war movement in the United States and the Watergate affair that caused Nixon’s resignation) and on a narrow aspect of a larger war. That narrow aspect is the military one. The larger war has not finished because that war has many aspects other than military. Those are ideology, politics, economy, culture, and society. Saying that the CC won in 1975 is the same as saying that Chinese won over Vietnam two thousand years ago and dominated Vietnam for a thousand years. In reality, history shows that the Chinese has never defeated Vietnam. Even after a thousand years of dominion, the Chinese never erased the basic culture and society of Vietnam, and had to be finally overthrown in 938. Similarly, the CC has illegally ruled the North since 1945 and the South since 1975 by a foreign-born doctrine. The dominion of the CC is even more brutal than the Chinese because the CC is Vietnamese who brought a foreign-born doctrine to rule its own people. It is that brutality that creates an intense opposition. If the Vietnamese people could overthrow the Chinese after a thousand years of dominion, what does the 70-year dominion of the CC matter to them?

Therefore, the question is not: Which side will win, but When will the DC win?

Conclusion

The war between the DC and the CC will end with victory for the DC. Still, the DC has to actively push its efforts in promoting the ideals and objectives fighting for freedom, democary, and human rights to avoid wasting time and resources of the country. Although the DC will win sooner or later, the CC can still prolong the war with hopes that the DC will tire out or eventually give up. This is unlikely to happen, because the DC will never get tired or give up, because righteousness does not get tired and does not surrender. In reality, the DC will grow more and more powerful and determined because thanks to the mass communication media and civil society organizations, more and more people know the truths and the frauds, deceptions, and stupidity of the CC. The CC’s violent suppression on the DC even strengthens the unity of the DC. The CC can never win with its current ideals and objectives. It will even be defeated faster if it continues using methods such as brainwashing, deception, violence, evil and despicable tricks, hypocracy, and demagogy. In order to avoid being wiped out completely, the CC has to change completely, but then it is no longer communist. By that time, there may be another war between two policital parties in a democratic framework, like the Republican and Democratic Parties in the United States.

To many Vietnamese people, Vietnam is a sorrowful country full of tragedies. However, the CC’s occupation of South Vietnam in 1975 and its subsequent ruling of the entire country is a blessing in disguise. The blessing is to allow the entire Vietnamese population, from South to North, to know communism. Therefore, they will love one another with the love of countrymen, being in the same boat as victims of the brutal government, in the spirit of “Oh gourd, please love squash! Though of different species, we share the same trellis.” The CC’s domination in several decades has allowed the people a chance to know the real faces of the red devils. Furthermore, because the CC invaded and occupied the South in such a cowardly and wicked manner and treated the people of South Vietnam with such extreme brutality, the South Vietnamese had the courage to leave their country and have built up a large population of Overseas Vietnamese who are helping their countrymen living in Vietnam to stand up and fight for freedom and democracy.
